MasterGraphics Acquires CAD Division of Office Technology, Expands Reach in Wisconsin

Jan. 12, 2007 - Madison, Wis. -- MasterGraphics, a supplier of technology solutions for the manufacturing, building, education and government communities, has acquired the Computer Aided Design (CAD) division of Neenah, Wis.-based Office Technology. The transaction was finalized Dec. 1, 2006.

MasterGraphics is anxious to share its expertise with the new clients gained through the acquisition. "We are eager to serve the CAD and technical needs of Office Technology's clients," said Michael Wilkes, president and co-owner of MasterGraphics. "We also look forward to offering new resources to assist in the design, management, distribution and printing of their data." The company, with 120 employees in three states, has doubled its sales in the last four years. Purchasing the CAD business from Office Technology will further solidify the company's market space in the Midwest.

Specifically, the acquisition of Office Technology expands and strengthens MasterGraphics' position as a Premier Solutions Provider (PSP) for AutodeskTM, the world's leading software and services developer for the building, manufacturing, infrastructure, digital media and wireless data service fields.

"MasterGraphics continues to demonstrate its strength as a Premier Solutions Provider," said Steve Blum, Autodesk's vice president of sales for the Americas. "The company is client-driven, service-oriented and a true expert in technology solutions. MasterGraphics' significant growth during the past few years attests to its professional leadership and successful approach to business. Autodesk considers MasterGraphics to be an outstanding partner today and in the future."

Professional Services Group Adds New Consultant

As a result of the acquisition, Mark Hechel, an industry veteran with 17 years at Office Technology, has joined MasterGraphics. He will serve as a consultant in the company's newly formed Professional Services Group, whose experts work with clients nationwide to provide process-improvement advice and technology adoption strategies. "The Professional Services Group can work with a client to improve the management of its design data, which is critical to an organization's success," Wilkes explained. "In addition, our consultants can evaluate their clients' operations to ensure they're using technology efficiently and effectively."
