Autodesk Authorizes MasterGraphics as Reseller of Education Solutions in Illinois
Firm strengthens industry-leading commitment to K-12 and post-secondary CAD education solutions with new region
April 4, 2008 - MADISON, Wis. - Autodesk, the world leader in 2D and 3D design software for the manufacturing, building and construction, and media and entertainment markets, has authorized MasterGraphics as a reseller of computer-assisted design education solutions in Illinois.
Along with Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota, the new region builds upon MasterGraphics' position as one of the largest Autodesk resellers in the Midwest and will further the firm's efforts in providing software, curriculum, instructor training and onsite technical support to K-12 and post-secondary schools.
"We are pleased to authorize MasterGraphics as a preferred reseller of education solutions," said Gary Conrad, Autodesk education sales manager, North America. "The MasterGraphics team has made significant investments in resources to support our education efforts in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin, and we believe they'll continue to make great strides in Illinois."
"It's our mission to help future design and engineer professionals to learn the most powerful design technologies in a real-life setting," said Michael Wilkes, President of MasterGraphics. "We're looking forward to being able to bring more focus and commitment to students and educators in Illinois."
MasterGraphics' industry-recognized specialists include four regular instructors at Autodesk University as well as an author of books on Autodesk Inventor, Mechanical Desktop and co-author of the Autodesk Inventor certification exam. The company is committed to supporting programs such as Project Lead the Way, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of pre-engineering instruction for middle- and high-school students, SkillsUSA, which prepares America's high-performance workers, provides quality education experiences for students, and builds and reinforces self-confidence, good work attitudes, and communication skills. MasterGraphics also supports Supermileage, which provides engineering and technology students with a challenging design project that involves the development and construction of a single-person, fuel-efficient vehicle, and FIRST Robotics, a nonprofit organization focused on generating interest in science and engineering among today's youth, all of which helps to ensure the success of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) initiatives across the U.S.
An Autodesk A+ Academic Specialist, MasterGraphics garnered the Autodesk Platinum Club award in 2007, the top honor for the highest overall education retailer growth in the nation.
