Summary
This course is designed to boost efficiency with AutoCAD 2009's new features to those using AutoCAD 2008. Learn the new user Interface and how to work with the Menu Browser and Ribbon; changes to Properties and the Status Bar. Learn how to use the Action Recorder and how to work with new tools with layer management.
Find how best to implement the 2D Drafting and Annotation Workspace, changes and enhancements to Customization, References, Tables, and Plotting and Recovery, and for those working with MicroStation DGN files, there are new DGN importing and exporting tools. Layer updates include changes to the Layer Properties Manager and enhancements to Layer States.
Annotative objects and styles are another major new feature. You will learn how to Annotative objects. Annotative objects automatically scale to the layout and include Text, Mtext, Hatches, Blocks, Attributes, Dimensions, Leaders, Multileaders, and Tolerances
Learn about the new visualization tools and how to work with lighting and the 3D navigation tools, adding lighting and geographic location.
Who Should Attend
Everyone who is upgrading to AutoCAD 2008 from AutoCAD 2006 or 2007 and wants to take full advantage of the new 2D tools. The class is appropriate for all disciplines - architects, engineers, designers, facilities planners, drafters, technicians, and others. It is also appropriate for those who will be primarily involved in editing drawings created by others. This class is a must for those who manages and set up CAD standards for the company.
