Summary

This class is a discussion about what is involved with the real tasks of CAD Management. This course will take an overview look at formulating and enforcing standards and assessing your current situation. You will take a high level look at hiring, developing, and managing your users. You will look at what is needed to manage software and briefly discuss the financial processes in terms including the faster verses cheaper paradigm.

During class, you will gain knowledge of why a long term plan must be put together and discover when and why to get involved with IT planning. You discuss what to manage and how to protect your data.

Who Should Attend

The class is appropriate for those who want to gain a greater insight to the problems and opportunities that the CAD manager faces.

Objectives

Upon completion of the class, the student will gain a better understanding of the areas and concepts included in CAD Management.

Prerequisites

Students enrolling in the course should have some familiarity with AutoCAD fundamentals. It is recommended that the student have a working knowledge of:
