Summary
In this class you will learn the fundamental skills of modeling, lighting, material creation and animation used in the animated film and gaming industries. You will gain a foundation of the Autodesk 3ds Max tools available to you. You will learn about modeling, animation, materials and mapping. You will create objects and produce animations that include the application of materials and lighting. You will gain experience in creating a simple transform and adding modifies to a model. You will cover advanced modeling tools such as working at a sub-object level, creating shape descriptions, and creating compound objects.
Once you have completed class you will be able to create animations from models by applying concepts of keyframing, timing, anticipation, follow-through, and exaggeration. You will be able to add and adjust materials to your objects to develop the look that you need to express you ideas.
Who Should Attend
Architects, game developers, design visualization professionals, visual effects artists and others wanting an introductory course on how to create highly customized 3d animations, modeling, and rendering for games, film, television, and design visualization. This is an excellent class for new hires, for those who are first going to Autodesk 3ds Max or for those who are returning users.
Prerequisites
It is recommended that the student have a working knowledge of:
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000, XP, or Vista.
- This course is designed for the user with a solid background in AutoCAD 2007, 2008 or 2009.
- Before starting the course, you should have drafting, design, or engineering experience.
